Ingredients
  1. 3 med. - onions, chopped
  2. 2 Tbs - butter
  3. 2 Tbs - minced garlic
  4. 3/4 cup - white wine vinegar
  5. 3/4 cup - dry white wine
  6. 2 cups - tomato puree
  7. 1 Tbs - Traditional PepperJam
Instructions
  1. In a heavy saucepan, cook the onions in butter over low heat for about 30 minutes, or until the onions are golden and very soft.
  2. Add the vinegar and wine.
  3. Let the mixture reduce to 1/3 its traditional volume.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree and Traditional PepperJam.
  5. Cook the sauce very gently for 5 or 6 more minutes, removing the skin as it forms.
  6. Sieve the finished sauce or leave it as it is.
